Important Class Information
Please review the following information before registering for a class
-
Cancellations made at least 7 days before the scheduled class may receive a full refund or transfer to another available class. Cancellations made 3–6 days before class may be transferred to another available date but are non-refundable. Cancellations made less than 72 hours before class are non-refundable and non-transferable.
If Defensive Edge Training Group LLC must cancel or reschedule a class, participants will have the option to transfer their registration to another available date or receive a full refund.
-
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time to allow time for check-in and required paperwork. Because CPL certification requires completion of all required instructional components, participants arriving more than 15 minutes after the scheduled start time may not be permitted to participate and may need to reschedule.
Failure to attend without prior notice is considered a no-show. No-show registrations are non-refundable.
-
Safety is our highest priority. All participants must follow instructor commands and range safety rules at all times. Defensive Edge Training Group LLC reserves the right to stop a participant’s training or remove a participant from the course for unsafe, disruptive, threatening, or impaired behavior.
Registration and attendance do not guarantee certification. Participants must satisfactorily complete all required classroom and live-fire components and demonstrate safe firearm handling before receiving a certificate of completion.
-
Participants may bring their own handgun and approximately 100 rounds of factory-manufactured ammunition. Firearms and ammunition must be safe, appropriate for range use, and comply with all host-range requirements. The instructor reserves the right to prohibit the use of any firearm or ammunition determined to be unsafe or inappropriate.
Participants who do not have a handgun may add the Handgun Rental & Ammunition option for $35 during registration. Rental firearms must be used only as directed by the instructor and with the ammunition provided or approved for use with the firearm.

Firearm laws and CPL requirements are subject to change. Legal information presented during the course is provided for general educational purposes as part of firearms training and does not constitute individualized legal advice or create an attorney-client relationship.
Completion of this course does not guarantee eligibility for or issuance of a Michigan Concealed Pistol License. Licensing decisions are made by the appropriate governmental authorities.
